Seattle Teen Music and the Washington Blues Society will join together to focus on finding and cultivating more teen based blues musicians in the Pacific Northwest. The northwest is already steeped in the tradition of live blues music, which can be heard at several venues. However, many of those venues are still inaccessible to those musicians and concerts goers who are under the age of 21. In an effort to raise awareness, appreciation and accessibility for blues music, Seattle Teen Music will begin creating an informational program that will include live performance and scholarship opportunities focused on the pre- and teen age group.
